Visitors Book
We wish to thank all our clients for their business and especially for their kind comments. It's good to know that they found renting the trullo added to their holiday experience in Puglia. With their approval we've included a few extracts below...

I can not tell you how much we enjoyed Moonstone last week. We were busy almost every day but managed to enjoy some relaxing time on the beautiful patio. The location of the house is just wonderful and the night sky provided some great shows. We enjoyed all the week long festivities in Alberobello although we didn't exactly know what we were celebrating - I have never witnessed 1 hour of fireworks before.(David's note - last week of Sept is Alberobello's largest festival for the two patron saints of the town's Basilica)
Thanks so much for doing such a beautiful job on the restoration, it was a joy to stay there.

We had a lovely time at your trulli. You’ve done a fantastic job of the renovation, it is still utterly charming yet with all mod-cons. Francesca and her family were very welcoming and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

We have just returned from our fabulous holiday. Thank you so much for loaning us your beautiful villa. We left with heavy hearts - thank you for introducing us to the wonderful region of Puglia. We were delighted with the Trulli and impressed with the high standard of restoration.
Thank you once again - Melinda, Mike and family, Abu Dhabi.

This was a beautiful, peaceful and original location for reaching and exploring a wide area of Puglia. Pietraluna has everything you are likely to need during your stay, but its real attraction is far more intangible than standard creature comforts. It has a definitely unworldly quality, particularly at night, which is different from the norm and impossible to describe in terms of this or that facility. We loved it from the moment we arrived and missed it the minute we left. As we write this, we can think of nothing about Pietraluna we did not like. Were we to return to Puglia, this is the first accommodation we would try to book. It is relatively secluded, and, as the website warns, you must have access to a car to be able to stay here.
We enjoy catering for ourselves on holiday and were well served by a wide range of shops in Alberobello. For those who want to eat out, though we can't speak for the quality, there are a plethora of restaurants in and around the area. The town is a tourist attraction and as such you have to accept a degree of commercialisation as the price for access to reasonable services.

Hi David & Chris
The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pietraluna - the tranquility was wonderful especially after a week driving around Naples/Amalfi. The trullo was lovely and Francesca had done a grand job in ensuring everything was clean and in order. Your information file was very useful and the recommendation for Sunday lunch at Gli Ulivi was excellent - 23 separate dishes of antipasto! We will live on the memory of that lunch for years. We would definitely recommend the area and your trullo in particular.
Thanks again for a lovely relaxing week in such a great trullo.

Hello David and Chris
We had a wonderful time in your Trullo, it's absolutely beautiful and the best self catering accomodation we have ever stay in, by far ! And we've stayed in plenty. It had lots of character, was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. You have thought of everything and we especially liked your information book, which we referred to several times for days out. The town of Sassi and The White Grotto being our favourites, plus the superb Onda Blu beach! Puglia is beautiful and very very hot in August! Need lots of suncream. The people are friendly and the ice-cream delicious! Think we tried every flavour! It's great for families with plenty of things to do, which meant everyone was happy.
Many thanks

We had a super time in Italy and loved staying at your beautiful home. We would highly recommend it to others. We were really impressed with the house and its quality fittings, our only suggestion would be that we would have liked sun-loungers for reading in the garden.(David's note - we've now provided these, thanks for the input)
Francesca your property manager was wonderfully helpful.

Dear David & Chris
The Trullo was absolutely lovely, beautifully presented and fantastically equipped. You really have thought of everything. Francesca and Pietro were delightful, and so helpful (we had one mishap with the water cistern which tested my rather limited Italian, but Pietro soon got us sorted out!).
Overall we had a fantastic holiday, and we have some gorgeous photos of your lovely house to bring back some lovely memories. Thank you once again

Dear David & Chris
Many thanks for a wonderful few days in Pietraluna. We loved your gorgeous trulli and its restful setting. The red poppies were brilliantly scattered among the olive groves. Your charming Italian family greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. We found the house very comfortable - beds great etc. With best wishes for a successful season and I hope you enjoy your next visit there and get some warm sunny weather.

We had a wonderful holiday in your trulli – what a wonderful home you have there. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. We tried many of the restaurants you suggested, most of them were great.
Thanks again I am sure we will be back.

Our off season break was everything we had hoped for. Great to find a home that delivered everything promised on website description. Really efficient admin and help from owners/managers in UK and Italy. We were more than happy to spend time slowly exploring suggestions from the house book. Never having been in this part of Italy before our lasting impression though is of this trully extraordinary property. Everyday someone commented on some new feature showing the skill, care and dedication with which it has been restored.

We had such as lovely time staying at Casa-Pietraluna. The website pictures are quite accurate with no scary surprises. We have been to the area several times, since my husband’s family is nearby. Your home was so tranquil and peaceful, it really made it feel like a holiday not just visiting relatives. Your restaurant suggestions were right on, and thoroughly enjoyed the ones we went to. Nearby Locorotondo and Ostuni were enjoyable visits. My daughter enjoyed the Zoo Safari in nearby Fasano. Wish we stayed longer! Would love to come back next year.

Hello David & Chris
We had a most wonderful holiday and are very sad to have left. The trullo is beautiful and the peace and quiet takes a little getting used to but we were soon so relaxed, it was so calm. The highlight was our visit to Matera, what a magical place. We visited most of the more interesting places but saved some for next year, hopefully. On our last night, we went to Fidelio’s for our meal and then to Piazza Del Popolo for a wonderful open-air concert. Also your manager Francesca, along with her daughter Giada, were very helpful, courteous and did a very professional job. Thanks again for a fantastic three weeks.

Dear David & Chris
We had a great holiday, lots of sunshine and excellent food. We really enjoyed exploring the surrounding area and will definitely return to Puglia in the future. The manual you left was really useful, especially for the restaurant suggestions, we had some wonderful meals out. What made the holiday though was the trullo. It was lovely to stay in such a fantastic house in such a beautiful location, it was nice to spend time just relaxing there.

Dear David & Chris
We just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful stay in your trullo. It's an absolutely fabulous house for a holiday - you've done it up beautifully and we felt very much at home. Thanks also for all your suggestions re: places to visit etc, and for really going the extra mile - organising the second cot etc. We've also been so impressed by your very thorough and efficient correspondence throughout - it's made the whole holiday experience go so smoothly for us. We've already recommended Casa Pietraluna to several of our friends! We can't thank you enough for such a brilliant holiday.

Dear David & Chris
We loved Casa Pietraluna and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You had provided all the facilities we could have wished for so all we had to do was sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. We will certainly recommend Pietraluna to any friends who wish to visit the area.

Hi David & Christine
We are now back in London after having enjoyed a lovely week away at your beautiful trullo. We all had a fantastic time despite the first half of the week being a little overcast, and certainly ate well all week! We took your advice and booked a table at Gli Ulivi for Sunday lunch which was fantastic - the food just kept coming and coming! We all had a lovely week and shall certainly be recommending Pietraluna to our friends and family.

Thank you David & Christine
We had a fabulous time at the trullo. The weather was very hot, but we visited nearly everywhere suggested in the house book - down as far as Ostuni, which was beautiful. Puglia was a nice surprise. Alberobello was a delight. We went to Gli Ulivi twice and discovered lido San Stefano outside Monopoli for bathing. Everyone was very friendly.

Hello David & Christine
Just to let you know we really enjoyed Casa Pietraluna. It’s a great house in a supurb environment. For our family it was just perfect. In fact this has been one of the nicest holidays we’ve had. We were really charmed by Puglia & our intention is to go back some time.

Dear David and Christine,
We fell in love with your house and hope to be able to return in future. It was a real delight to stay in a home, rather than a sparsely-fitted holiday rental. The little touches, such as a proper iron, hairdryer and kitchen utensils, were greatly appreciated by all of us. My husband took loads of photos and our friend also did some lovely watercolours and pastel drawings, which will be a great souvenir for us.We had a great couple of weeks and thoroughly enjoyed revisiting Alberobello and the other towns in the area. With very best wishes,

Dear David & Christine,
We had a wonderful week at Casa Pietraluna and we only wished that we could have stayed longer. The house is beautifully presented and very comfortable. We would also like to comment on the presentation and cleanliness on our arrival. We will be recommending it to our friends, should any be interested in visiting Puglia. We loved Alberobello and did many day trips to other towns in Puglia. We also enjoyed having dinner on the terrace with the wonderful view over the valley. We hope to return, one day. It is such a long way from Australia. We only wished we lived closer.Best regards and our thanks

Dear David & Christine
Just a little note to say how much we enjoyed our time in Pietraluna, could easily have stayed another week. The situation was great, very relaxing, enjoyed the books and the videos. We had a full moon with clear skies while we were there which was magic.
It was very comfortable and everything there we needed, you have done a wonderful job. It was also a very good base for the area, although we thoroughly enjoyed pottering around Alberobello, eating, drinking, markets, etc. Lovely.
