How to Find Us
Casa Pietraluna is on the outskirts of Alberobello on a small hill just next to the Bosco Selva wooded nature park. A four minute drive from the heart of Alberobello, 15 minutes from Locorotondo and 25 minutes from Martina Franca. Alberobello is easy to reach from either of the two local international airports or from the Naples/Pescara autostrada - just two roads, first the SS16/E55 coastal highway, second the road from Monopoli to Alberobello (marked red on the map below) take you directly to the town. Once your booking is confirmed we will send you detailed driving instructions and you'll be met by our property managers as you arrive in Alberobello (no matter at what time you arrive) they will guide you the short distance to the Trullo and ensure that you are settled in.
Air Travel
From the UK
- Bari Palese airport was fully redeveloped in 2005 and now has an ultra modern terminal building with full facilities. It is 60 kilometres North of the villa, approximately one hour drive.
- The smaller airport at Brindisi Casale has also recently been modernised, it is 65 kilometres to the South - also one hour drive.
There are direct flights from Gatwick (British Airways) and Stansted (RyanAir). Note that Ryanair flight times to Bari alternate each day in summer, one day they fly late afternoon the next early morning, ask us for either 6 or 13 days and you could use these flight patterns to ensure comfortable trips to/from Stansted. Many other UK airports have flights to Rome Fiumicino or one of the Milan airports where you can connect onto a flight to either Bari or Brindisi (on one of the internal Italian airlines such as AirOne/Alitalia or BluExpress). From Elsewhere
If you are coming from other countries then Rome or Milan will normally be your point of entry into Italy so a connecting flight to Bari or Brindisi will be the usual option. Take care when arranging flights via Milan or Rome that you don't have to change airports as well as flights. Both these cities have several airports miles apart and it's highly inconvenient switching airports!
Naples and Pescara airports are 4 hours drive from Alberobello so these are possible options. Remember that a two-centre holiday can be even better fun - say a week around the Bay of Naples or in historic Rome and then a week chilling-out at our villa in Puglia.
Car Hire
A car is essential during your stay at Casa Pietraluna. All the major car hire companies are at the local airports and some have agencies in local towns and cities. We advise that you should book your car hire in advance of travelling, it's safer and normally cheaper. Links to Hertz and Car-Hire-Search are shown below.
